Program Kepimpinan Tun Razak 2005…
Venue: KL, tasik kenyir, merang, kt (ours just in merang and kt)
Ppl involved:
from yayasan… atok, opah…
urusetia from arkib Negara… uncle mi…abg tengku and others….
Faci – alumni of yayasan tun razak…
career men and women… abang ayaz, abang mael, abang rizal, kak sya, kak nik,
kak/dr.sarah
and some still students… like me , adli, farisa n lee vee.
Participants – lepasan spm chosen throughout the country based on their leadership criteria in their respective schools…
14/3/2006
First time gi terengganu… traveled alone from penang and ‘stuck’ in klia for almost 5 hours… before finally getting into the airbus to terengganu... from gong badak to merang took us about an hour, plus the stop to fill our stomachs with some food. We straightaway joined the participants who had an activity which was not apart of the aytr slots, but being handled by one of us – abang mael. Later that night, we were introduced to all the facis (7 of us) and started to discuss about the participants and the program.
15/3/2006
Starting the day, we went through all the modules all over again. Then we hit the road to KT to get some stuff for the activities. We later joined the participants, who were visiting the Rumah Kebajikan for anak-anak istimewa. We only had few moments with the kids there, and some of them are around my age. Some with serious illness, due to mental and physical dysfunction don’t even have families or backgrounds. It was just overwhelming… and for some of the participants, that was their first time visiting such rumah kebajikan, and they were very touched and affected as some of them cried, and most of them being quiet all the way back.
Night, officially we started the slots with aytr. Ice-breaking, and we gave them a task in order to get to know us better. Some creativities shown… but we thought, there were some things these people were holding back from us. We then stressed on the objectives of the activity, and about how important for them to show their true colors throughout the program.
16/3/2006
Oh my…. Morning… earlyyy morning…. 7.30am… we took over the beach…kertas litmus biru… some game… but not just a game… of course we had to instill some leadership materials in it… at the end of the game… I found myself being 30% darker than I was a day before.
~kak nik ~ model pantai ~ ahaks ~
~kak sarah ~ memikirkan masa depan dan perancangan ~
>~ kertas litmus merah ~ ehehe ~ intereting game ~ with nice view, no doubt ~ though panas terik ~
Topeng – this was interesting. We got to see the participants getting into actions… debating and ‘fighthing for their rights’. It was entertaining as well as informative for them… and us. I had a great group of contractors, who were after all.. concerned only about the money… hahahahaa…
Pktr show – the setuju, tak setuju game. Ehehe… we divided the participants into bising and tak bising group, they grouped themselves, did it by individually evaluating themselves. Surprisingly, it was a 50-50 partition, just nice then. I followed the tak bising group… and being grouped together, without those budak-budak bising, they seemed to be more relieved haha… and able to express more freely..hehe…
Debat Parlimen – I didn’t follow closely, coz I joined Adli and Kak Sarah who were discussing on xyxx module for the next day. We at last came out with something, running away from being ala debate, and letting it be more of a talk show make-up. their debat parlimen went on with some serious and real issues, unlike the one I had with my batch. I remember that when I was in the pembangkang side, we boycott the parlimen and went out from the room… konon macho laa… mmg kitorg buat main2 je. But theirs was more serious one, arranged the room into a parlimen set, with the nama kawasan ahli parlimen on each their tables. But one thing I realized, most of the time, only the same YBs were actively debating, others interrupted once a while.
Renungan...
and the beach ... at night...(12.00 am to be exact) the scenery was simply breathtaking... moonlight (full moon) was enough to illuminate the whole stretch...
and we were seated on the white sand, accompanied by some nyamukksss... and God knows what other insects.... ehehehe... the sound of the slow tide... tenderrr.... and we had a memorable and inspiring talk/discussion...
17/3/2006
To give pre-orders for the xyxx module, I joined their riadah or known as rayaddoh as introduced by abang ayaz. The riadah turned to be teaching them how to ‘poco-poco’. Some kind of dance from I dunno where, but requires no dancing skill at all. It’s more like an aerobic step that can be exaggerated into dancing following the person’s creativity and style.
Haha actually it was a pocopoco class for me as well as I never knew how to do that before.
The xyxx – ziggz talk show was an interesting one. Yeah… gender issues… favourite issue of all time. Hehe… the participants were given tasks earlier, some scenario regarding gender of the opposites. The guys have to perform on gals issues and vise versa. The talk show itself posed some issues on gender… whether men can stand women bosses, is it okay for girls to make the first move in love, is it ok to marry less-educated men, or to marry higher-paid women… list goes on, and the topic that last the longest was, is it possible for girls and guys to be just good friends… on this issue, we had clear distinction of opinions between the girls and guys. Interesting though, to get some information on how these guys think about the issue. Sure enough it was different from what the ‘elderly’ men like abang mael and even atok think. Ehhee… the performance from the floor was ok.. interesting especially on how guys acted the pms scene…
Gunung berapi – ala survivor show. At first they were taking it for fun, just another game they thought. But we made it clear to them that it was to be as serious as it could be. The scenario given…and they have to choose one member to be eliminated, to be left in the island where the volcano was about to explode in 20 minutes. And some rules were, no one can volunteer and everyone must defend themselves not to be eliminated. This session went for about 30 minutes... and situation became intense and seriuos... at the end of the session, we had emotions flooding out from the participants... and it was rather overwhelming for us as well. some lessons to be learned, some things we shared about reality of life and challenges they will face in days to come. some learned it hard way, but we know someday, they will know and understand what we meant from what we had to deliver and share...
the evening... mood was dull... and we beat some fast-paced songs , hip songs... and all of us did the poco-poco thing.... and it turned out to be a poco-poco rally... and we had the male and female best poco-poco dancer at the end.
~ the finalist of poco-poco~
-aiyaaaa… so long one aaa?
-can't afford to write more... -
let the photos do the story telling from now on......
~ we moved to primula beach resort for the last day event ~
~ faci2 enjoying the evening ~
~ very cute yet meaningful pantomime~
~ ending their excellent performance with "Dengarlah suara kami"
~bonds are developed throughout the program ~
~its hard to say gudbye~
~ mohaa... i have no idea wat it means, but they kept shouting the mohaa out ~
~ we are also all worn out.. hehe ~
~ dah sampai klia ~ its time for us to say baibai ~

Hiehiehie… saje letak in different post, though on the same day… after the ‘mini tour’, I rushed to kepala batas… and went straight to kak sarah’s place.
Miahaha.. she served me biskut raya, so it was like ambik syarat beraya at her place laa…
We made our way 2 umah bakti, and as usual, were given warm welcome by the kids (not many of them were around though). Spend the evening by chatting and listening to them, and of course, the photo session laa… and not forgetting, since it’s still syawal… the kasik duit raya session…
Sempat la jua tuan hamba update ngan kak sarah, take note: abang sumi, please do come back and work in Malaysia haa… she missesss u badly tau tak… hiehiehie…. And so... gladly, I would like to declare dat tis post is a …hmmm… can say, a contribution for you la, since kak sarah said she hardly has time to upload pictures… hiehie

a day after exam....
|
|
Pheww… abes exam.. I’m so relieved… the result? Well… I have no idea how it’s going to be… hope for the best though…
I have promised my group mates (of image proc) a treat to lunch
Since fardous is from libya, and never really been around penang, so buk n I brought her to bukit bendera and around gorgetown area. Actually I didn’t have time to bring her tour around the whole island, (need to rush to another place after that)... Maybe next time, we can organize bigger ‘tour’ for our course mates eh?
I told fardous… since today I wont have enough time to bring you to all the interesting places in penang, I’ll bring u to penang hill, so that you can have almost the entire view of the penang island… so it covers all yaa…
Hiehie… k, and lunch at hamideeya tandoori was good… stopped at penang road… chowrastar… and then headed back. Fardous said that she enjoyed the day. Unlike both of us, she still has another paper to go… so good luck to you ya, fardous…
